Candle Care

Yes, it's true. Even your sweet little candle needs a little care!
For the first burn, let your candle melt the whole top layer — it’s basically setting the stage for every burn after. Think one hour per inch of diameter. Keep your flame low, slow, and away from drafts. And don’t let your candle pull an all‑nighter; four hours max keeps it smelling fabulous and behaving safely.
And because your candle is basically a tiny diva in a jar, it has a few more requests:
Trim the wick before every burn. A quick 1/4‑inch snip keeps the flame steady, the jar clean, and prevents that little “mushroom cap” from forming.
Let it cool completely before relighting — candles love a moment to reset.
Keep the lid on when not in use to protect the fragrance and keep dust from crashing the party.
Give your candle a cozy home. Avoid sunny windowsills, heaters, or anywhere it might melt unevenly.
Stop at the last half‑inch of wax. It’s your candle’s way of saying, “I’ve done my job, friend.” Burning past that point can overheat the jar.
Treat your candle with a little TLC, and it’ll reward you with a long, clean, happy burn — every single time.
From the heart,
Rae
