Creating a Happy Life

I’m truly glad you’re here. If you’ve visited the Origin/Contact Form page, you already know that my dad — even now, in spirit — is the heart and mascot of Happy Life. He and my mom always taught us that joy isn’t something you wait for… it’s something you create.

And joy looks different for everyone.

Maybe you’re someone who sings and dances in your PJ’s while cleaning (same here). Maybe swapping that snow shovel for a rake after a long Maine winter makes you smile. There’s something magical about clearing away the mess and spotting that first brave bit of green pushing up through the earth each spring.

Happiness might come from cooking, painting, fixing cars, meditating, gardening, knitting, crocheting, writing, golfing, coaching, leading a team at work, being part of a team at work, or supporting a community in need. It might be a quiet prayer, a peaceful intention, a nap, or getting lost in a beautifully written story in a good old‑fashioned book.

Sometimes happiness is simply saying “no” — and feeling wonderfully at peace with that choice.

There are endless ways to create joy in our everyday lives. I hope today brings you even one small spark of it.
